Morning Will Come by Dark Company.
Album: A for Acronym (CD 1: SNAFU)
MORNING WILL COME
Dined upon the hollow dawn
Til the sun lit up my face
I listened to the empty horn
I heard in another place
Going forwards, hanging back well
Manga animé sky
Posters on waste made of paste
Paper planes they fly
(I said now)
Oh-ohh-oh-oh-oh-ohh
Oh-ohh-oh-oh-oh-ohh
Oh-ohh-oh-oh-oh-ohh
Oh-ohh-oh-oh-oh-ohh
Married to madness I wanna divorce
It said so in my stars
Sometimes you gotta use force
To tell them who you are
Joined to chaos give me a break
I’m due some gaudy luck
Everything they try to take
Just to see me stuck
(I said now)
Oh-ohh-oh-oh-oh-ohh
Oh-ohh-oh-oh-oh-ohh
Oh-ohh-oh-oh-oh-ohh
Oh-ohh-oh-oh-oh-ohh
In entropy I wanna see sense
But the reason must be there
I know there’s patterns so intense
The question’s not why but where
Moored to mayhem along for the ride
With what I caught from life
In the end nowhere to hide
They got the carving knife
(I said now)
Oh-ohh-oh-oh-oh-ohh
Oh-ohh-oh-oh-oh-ohh
Oh-ohh-oh-oh-oh-ohh
Oh-ohh-oh-oh-oh-ohh

Performers:
‘Speedy’ Pete Greatorex – lead vocal
Zakk Black – guitar, backing vocal
Barry Bridges – guitar
Maxx Damage – bass
Sven Stiglund – drums, percussion
Fun Facts:
* The lyrics for this song were written 24th March 2013.
* Morning Will Come begins with Maxx and Barry making a sound like battleship chains.
* Dark Company rather liked the incongruous handclap, so it stayed.
* The clean guitar was largely spontaneous and some of the bass doesn’t fit it as well as it might as that was copy/pasted.
* While dancing his 12-15 month old daughter to sleep, the backing vocal part came and George would sing it to her along with the track.
* Barry is tuned to C# standard with a drop B.
