SEEING, WE SHOULD

SEEING, WE SHOULD
Night winds touch every part of me
Breathing black I start to see
The medallion of my mind’s delight
I pull it in, tied up tight
Fishing rod forearm down in the pool
Refraction bending this school of fools
I pick up the looking glass hideaway
Listening to the ad-men having their say
This chunk of glass in a telescope tube
Magnifies the insults of bitter food
I see I can really walk right past
I don’t wanna be first, I don’t wanna be last
Everybody seems to be pale and too thin
Skeleton manners come walking right in
This shop, that shop, they sell you your life
Minute after minute until you die

And I, and I, and I, and I
Find anarchy in other eyes
I, and I, and I, and I
Find anarchy in other eyes
And I, and I, and I, and I
Find anarchy in other eyes
I, and I, and I, and I
Find anarchy in other eyes

Fun Facts:

  • This song is completely arhythmic and was created using an assortment of synth samples and odd sounds, such as keys being rattled.
  • Once all of the various parts had been created, including the recording of the vocals, they were arranged by the band.
  • Despite various attempts to remake this using modern recording equipment, it was not possible to reproduce the strange and sinister atmosphere of the original.
  • Synths used included an old Korg monosynth and the original keyboard used by Alien Heat.
