Distanced Recognition

Distanced Recognition

I got a distanced recognition from a girl that you might know
Got a permanent erection, I hope it doesn’t show
Oo-ee Mama someone’s on my tail
She’s got everything that looks good on her
Boy I could take that girl

Fun Facts:

  • Distanced Recognition is one of the very first songs by Pok.
  • It is in the key of A.
  • In 1983 it was performed on the streets of Exeter, Honiton and Sidmouth by Fooog Dinboffin and the Release.
  • It always raised a grin when people actually listened.
  • Distanced Recognition was also part of the set of the band Now.
  • This is another of Pok’s songs that we have known and loved for many years and wanted for a long time to respect with a decent version.
  • All the sublte variations and the defintive guitar motif from the the days of Fooog Dinboffin and the Release have been carefully crafted by Fedax, who agreed to come out of retirment to make this recording on the Stratocaster.
  • Maxx’s bassline was a new feature as the song had never been played with a bassist before.
