TEN YEARS LATER

TEN YEARS LATER
When I was just thirteen
She said that I could take her…
Where could I take her?
And now it’s ten years later…
Is it over?
Tell me when it’s over…
Is it over?
I’d like to think it over…

I like to get the best of the changes
I’d like to get the best from the re-arranges
But if we get much closer
There’s a danger we’ll start over
Now I take it there’s no-one left to shake you from your tree

Is it over?
I’d like to think it over…
Is it over?
I’d like to think it over…

I like to get the best of the changes
I’d like to get the best from the re-arranges
But if we get much closer
There’s a danger I’ll fall over
Now I take it there’s no-one left to break you from that scene

Is it over?
Tell me when it’s over…
Is it over?
I’d like to think it over…
Is it over?

Fun Facts:
* Ten Years Later is an original song from the pen of Andy.
* It was probably written in 1992, with the duo first performing it back in 1994.
* The key is F# major and the only other chords are E and C#.
* Is this song about uncertainty? Is God an atheist? Are your flies still undone?
* During the recording of Ten Years Later, our engineers and the band together felt that the nature and subject of the song might be a scene between two friends having a chat over coffee.
* We set about creating a cafe scene, and thanks to those wonderful providers of great sound samples at soundjay.com we have achieved a pleasing result.
* The adlib voices from Q.Wim and Yuri were all done in one take, and it was the first as it happens.
* There’s a dark-ish video (of a pretty ordinary performance) of this track here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaSkIapo7Is
